You and your friend are looking at books in the school library and your friend asks you what The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is about because she heard it was an award-winning book. You quickly read the following blurb inside the front flap of the book and then tell your friend what?After you write a summary in the comment area have someone in the class respond to your comment and state if they feel that what you wrote was a summary or a plagiarism of the blurb. The student must also comment on whether he/she feels your summary is an accurate retelling and why. You are to do the same for someone else.

It is about a sixteen-year-old girl who has to fight for her life and sacrifices for her sister's life. She wants to survive and win. She "has been close to dead before", but survival is key in The Hunger Games. During The Hunger Games she will fight to the death on TV.
ReplyDeleteIn this suspenseful book, there is a lot of action. Katniss' actions will determine whether she lives or dies. There is also love involved in The Games. Whene her sister was chosen she subsitutes herself in her's sister's place.
